The Pensieve Guardian is the boss at the end of the Percival Rackham Trial quest in Hogwarts Legacy. It looks a lot like the Pensieve Protectors, Pensieve Sentinels, and Pensieve Sentinels you’ve fought so far (including right before you encounter the Pensieve Keeper), but it’s much larger and more wearing. He also has a tricky dueling feat that can’t be accomplished in an obvious way: destroying the orb while it’s charging.

How to destroy the orb while charging

You probably tried to attack the orb with every offensive spell at your disposal, and ended up getting hit hard and taking a lot of damage when the orb inevitably reaches full charge. But this dueling feat isn’t about maximizing damage in a short amount of time. The orb can be destroyed with a single spell. It’s just a matter of choosing the right spell. The clue is the color of the orb. If the orb is yellow, hit it with a yellow control spell like Levioso. If it’s purple, hit it with a purple Force spell like Accio. And if it’s red, hit it with a damage spell, like Confringo.
How to Beat the Pensieve Keeper

Once you know how to destroy the orb, the Pensieve Guardian will be much easier to defeat. Unfortunately, you can’t disarm him with Expelliarmus like you can with other Pensieve enemies. But if you destroy the orb every chance you get and stun it with ancient magic (the other, a much easier dueling feat) every chance you get, you should be able to exhaust it without too much trouble. Remember that the orb is not its only means of attack, so as always, you should parry when you see the yellow attack indicators and dodge when you see the red attack indicators.
