The Aberration Knight is one of many giant enemies you’ll encounter throughout the game and defeating it takes some finesse. Fortunately, you have a large arena to move around. Before we get into the basics of defeating the boss, we’ll go over the attacks he can use. Be on the lookout for the following attacks during combat:

  • Footprint – The Aberrant Knight will lift one of its feet and stomp the ground. This attack will cause a small shockwave that can hurt you if you get too close. Dodge when his foot hits the ground to avoid taking damage.
  • Launch Spin – The Aberrant Knight crouches and begins to spin while holding his spear. This attack has a decent range, so step back to avoid taking damage or dodge at the right time when the spear blade passes. The knight will spin about four or five times before stopping and getting back up.
  • Spear swing – The Abberant Knight swings his spear in front of him in a great arc. This attack can be easily avoided by getting behind the Aberrant Knight.
  • Jump and Dive – The Abberant Knight leaps into the air and strikes the ground with his spear. Keep an eye on when the horse jumps as it has a long range. It’s best to dodge just before the knight hits the ground to avoid damage.
  • Grab – This attack happens later in the fight when you’re on the Abberant Knight’s back. You will have to go down behind his back to avoid getting hit by this attack.

The key to defeating the Aberrant Knight is to attack its feet. Each leg has a separate strike bar, so be sure to position yourself on the same leg throughout the fight. When one of the health bars is completely depleted, Abberant Knight will fall to his knees. Meanwhile, walk behind him and interact with the boss to jump on his back. The boss will get up and try to knock you down. Attack weak points while his back is turned. When part of his back is destroyed, you will fall. Repeat the process by attacking the boss’s legs and then climbing on them until he is defeated.
