There are often parallel stories in octopathic traveler 2 where you can hear a track on one of a person involved. However, there is nothing you can do about it until you get to that other point in the world. These tend to be fairly obvious, although you just need to note where everyone is. That’s exactly what happens with “A Forced Hand” in octopathic traveler 2as one could meet Margello in Montwise before Tiffany in Timberain.
To start the quest, you must first speak to Tiffany. It’s in the Château de Timberain district: Place de la Ville, at the top right of the square. When you talk to her, she will complain that her parents arranged a marriage for her. He will quote Margello in Montwise.
From there, you have to head to Montwise on the other side of the world. You’ll find Margello and his assistant if you head straight to the back of Montwise: Library after passing the librarian in the office. If you use someone who can guide you or befriend you, like Ochette, you can add them to your party. (You need three Quality Jerky on hand, if you use Ochette to bring it.)
To complete “A Forced Hand” in octopathic traveler 2, immediately return to Timberain and talk to Tiffany while Margello is with you. This will trigger a short event. Then you’ll get 15,000 leaves and a mental belt to help out.
