Every season in Fortnite we are invited to an event. Whether it’s a custom event with unique enemies or something more seasonal, there’s always something going on. A recurring event is the Easter event, which comes with a host of new quests for players to complete. This guide covers how to collect spawned eggs, an activity Fortnite players should be familiar with.

The spawned eggs are quite easy to obtain during Fortnite Easter events. These are colored eggs that occupy areas of the map where you’ll be used to seeing chickens. If you’re anything like us, you actively avoid these creatures because they almost always attack you. Now, however, you must search for them.

A reliable place to collect eggs spawned in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season is the land just outside of the Citadel location. Here are two chickens that have 6 eggs laid between them, which means you can quickly score any quests you have associated with these items. See above for a map reference for this location we have identified.
There are more places with eggs laid around the map. However, we recommend that you enter the map at this point, collect all spawned eggs, and play the match as you normally would. If you find more laid eggs, great. Otherwise, you can jump into a new match and come back for those spawned eggs.

Every type of egg laid explained
Below we’ve listed all of the spawned eggs you can find in Fortnite and what they do. Although their value comes from completing quests, you can get other benefits by researching them in each match.
- cure eggs: These are the green eggs that you can see on the ground. They will slowly restore health and shields if consumed.
- hop eggs: These are the blue eggs you will find, and they can give you health and temporarily reduce gravity.
- golden eggs: These are the only eggs that you cannot consume. If you interact with them, you’ll get gold bars, which is better in some ways. These eggs cannot be added to your inventory, so interact with each one you see.
