Genshin Impact offers seven different items to experience, each working differently against the enemies in the game. The Traveler, the main character of Genshin Impact, will eventually be able to control all seven elements with a different and unique playstyle for each of them. This makes Traveler the only character in the game to have different kits on the same character, and the only one who can wield multiple different items. But how do you change the Traveler item in Genshin Impact?

How to Change Traveler’s Element in Genshin Impact
As of this writing, the traveler can wield four different items: Anemo, Geo, Electro, and Dendro. Anemo is its default item and the starter kit you get when you start the game for the first time. To switch between its different elements, you’ll need to take the Traveler into resonance with a Statue of the Seven in different regions.
Each region has a unique Statue of the Seven that corresponds to its Archon. Essentially, each region represents a different element. All you have to do is visit a given region and then interact with the Statue of the Seven to change your Traveler’s item.
First, equip the traveler for your party. You will need to have it to resonate with a Statue of Seven.

Second, head to the Statue of Seven that matches the item you want. Here is a list of which item corresponds to which region (this list will be updated as more regions are officially released):
- Mondstadt: Anemo
- Liyue: geo
- Inazuma: Electro
- Sumeru: Dendro
In this example, we’ll go on and sound for the Anemo element. Visit any statue of the Seven in Mondstadt. Switch to the Traveler then interact with the Statue of the Seven. You will need to play as the Traveler to redeem its item.

When interacting with the Statue of Seven, the following options appear. Click “Resonate with Anemo” to redeem your item.

After resonating with the statue, your traveler’s element will subsequently change. If you want to switch to another item, simply visit another Statue of the Seven. There is no limit to the trades you can make, so choose the right item for your traveler.
