How to Get a Writing Profession and Become Famous in BitLife
To become a writer in BitLife, you must first graduate from high school. Your character needs a lot of intelligence, so you need to increase it as much as possible. There are several ways to do this, such as reading books through the tireless mini-game or visiting the library. We recommend reading books first and then going to the library to avoid the mini-game when your character is old enough. Both activities are good at keeping your character’s smart stats high.

Once you graduate from high school, you need to go to college and work on your character to graduate in English. It should take you about four years. After that, we recommend that you attend an English-focused graduate school. It shouldn’t take long, but it’s important to keep your Smarts status up to date. Once you’ve done that and graduated, the next step is to wait for a writing position in the professions to open up. There’s quite a bit of luck when this job comes around, so if you’re patient, it should happen. You should also see (Editor) next to it.
If you don’t see any open task with the name (Editor) next to it, it’s a good idea to close the BitLife app and reopen it. When you start the game, a new set of jobs should appear on the Profession page and hopefully these are the good ones you are looking for. You can keep doing this until the correct job appears, preventing your character from aging too quickly.
When your character has a job, like any profession, you have to work hard at it every year and make sure your character maintains their high intelligence. While you’re working, we recommend keeping your Smarts stats up to date and continuing to read books to make it easier to maintain your job and become proficient. After seven to ten years of writing and hard work, you should eventually be famous. Fame status will appear and you will need to work to maintain your fame by writing books from time to time.
There is a certain strategy to land this position, but in general, nothing is too complicated. Unfortunately, finding the writer position available in the Occupation tab is probably the only complication, as is having a character with high Smarts stats when initially starting out. Of course, you can always switch characters to start over.
