Sons of the Forest will take you through several caves and bunkers in search of items that will help you progress through the story. But while exploring them, you will also encounter different enemies, including the Puffton family. You’ll find them as part of a mid-game boss fight, and they can be a bit tricky to defeat. How to find the Puffton family in Sons of the Forest
To trigger the boss fight, you must first acquire the upkeep card. Without it, you won’t be able to access the bunker where the fight is taking place. After acquiring the keycard, you need to go to the Food and Dining bunker. This bunker can be easily found as it is one of the green dots on the map. Once there, enter the cave and continue until you find the entrance to the bunker. Go through it and find a locked door inside the room. You can use the maintenance card to unlock it.

Once inside, keep going until you reach a hallway filled with water. Go to the end of the hallway and enter the room on your left. Head to the security room and grab the VIP card from there. Then go back to the hallway and head to the locked door in front of you. Use the VIP card to unlock it and then you will have access to the dining room. After wandering around for a few seconds, Edward Puffton and Barbara Puffton will go through the window and into the hallway.
How to Kill the Puffton Family in Sons of the Forest
Of the two, Barbara is the one you need to be careful of, as she can crawl like mutants and can overtake you quickly. Edward, on the other hand, isn’t as fast, but his attacks can still deplete your health. We recommend using the pistol or shotgun against them instead of using melee weapons. Firearms will allow you to inflict damage while staying at a safe distance. Also, it would be best if you finished off Edward first so you could focus on Barbara without worrying about another threat lurking around.

Throughout the fight, you should focus on headshots, as this is the fastest way to take them both down. It is also recommended that you store some healing items, such as medicine, in your inventory before entering the bunker. If they land a single hit on your character, they’ll put you in a bind. After successfully killing the Puffton family in Sons of the Forest, approach their corpses and pull out their creepy armor.
