Atomic Heart has a lot of content to enjoy as the game has lots of side activities in addition to the main quests. If you’re planning on getting the game, you might be wondering how long it will take you to complete Atomic Heart. This of course depends on the type of difficulty you select. But if you’re also planning to complete all the side activities, including solving multiple puzzles and finding all the collectibles, you might want to strap yourself in for a long drive.

How long does it take to complete Atomic Heart?

If you’re only looking for the mainline of the Atomic Heart campaign, it’ll take you around 20 hours, based on our time with the game. The whole story will have you exploring five massive facilities filled with evil robots and mutants. But if your goal is to complete the game 100% and complete all the side quests as well, you can expect to spend another 20 hours in the game.

To back up our estimate, Atomic Heart Game Director Robert Bagratuni said in a recent interview with SegmentNext that the main campaign should take “around 20-25 hours”. 100% completion should “take the player between 35 and 40 hours”, according to Bagratuni.

The number of hours it will take someone to complete the game will vary from player to player. It took us a total of 40 hours to complete the entire game, which includes both the main story and side activities. Side jobs are optional areas where you fight groups of enemies for blueprint rewards, which can go a long way towards upgrading your gear. Other than that, you will find plenty of other activities as you explore the game further.
