It’s official, the Honkai Star Rail release date has been set. From the minds of HoYoverse, the development team is anime game giant Genshin Impact, this brand new RPG is set in the depths of space instead of the idyllic medieval world of Teyvat.
The Honkai Star Rail release date is set for April 26 and will be available through the Epic Games Store for PC players.. You can pre-register through the game’s official website.
If you choose to pre-register, you can get plenty of rewards to help you prepare your character. You’ll get 50,000 credits, 19 Star Rail Passes, Trailblazer – Welcome Avatar, and last but not least, the four-star character Serval.
For those of you unfamiliar with Honkai, Star Rail is the fourth installment in the ever-popular space series which, like Genshin, tasks a team of four heroes and heroines with defeating the ubiquitous Honkai, a disintegrating enemy force. and destroy everything. civilization that stands in its way.
In Star Rail, your protagonist is tasked with uncovering the truth about the ominously named “Cancer of All Worlds,” an entity that appears to be capable of fueling the Honkai’s destructive march.
You can visit a plethora of different sites, from the snow-capped mountains of Jarilo-VI to the spectacular Herta space station, a museum-like spacecraft. You can learn more about each world, as well as what to expect from the game itself, in the special pre-boarding program video below.
As someone who loves a good fantasy game but can’t fall in love with the world of Genshin Impact, the celestial faces and cyberpunk vibes of Honkai Star Rail are much more up my street. It reminds me of Hotta Studio’s fancy tower, but since HoYoVerse is in charge, I imagine it’s going to be a lot more polished.
