Hogwarts Legacy and its developers seem to have a deep respect for From Software’s games – the game offers some heartfelt references to the Souls universe.

When it launched last year, Elden Ring garnered a lot of attention, leading many players to call it a real breakthrough in the open world. Generally speaking, From Software games are very successful all over the world and are the only ones to influence the whole industry. Hogwarts Legacy, although clearly more successful than Elden Ring in terms of pure sales, does not forget this influence and has decided to pay homage to it directly in the game.

Hogwarts Legacy: Easter eggs in homage to Dark Souls and Elden Ring

Easter eggs are a fun and easy way to point out various references in more or less obvious ways, leaving it up to the player if they’re curious enough (or just lucky enough to stumble upon them). For example, we were able to discover that there was an easter egg linked to the Chamber of Secrets, even though we cannot access it. Lo and behold, today a player saw at least two references to From Software games in Hogwarts Legacy.

In one of the areas of the map, we can thus see tombs embedded horizontally in a cliff, like Elden Ring. In addition, the famous bonfire of the Dark Souls games is also present there, with the famous sword that pierces the flames.. An obvious reference, and not the first: we remember in particular that The Witcher 3 had offered a similar easter egg in reference to the Souls games.
