Already postponed at first by Avalanche Software, the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Hogwarts Legacy are now taking a little longer than expected.

Available for almost a month on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, Hogwarts Legacy has quickly established itself as one of the biggest successes of this beginning of the year. With more than 12 million copies sold in just two weeks, Avalanche Software’s role-playing game has certainly won over Harry Potter fans who, unsurprisingly, are more and more numerous to give in to the call of the adventure over the weeks. Unfortunately, for PS4 and Xbox One players, we will finally have to continue to take our problems patiently.

Hogwarts Legacy is still lagging on PS4 and Xbox One

In fact, we just learned that old versions of Hogwarts Legacy are once again rejected by Avalanche Software, which now gives us an appointment for May 5, 2023 on PS4 and Xbox One. Despite an initial postponement of almost two months, everything indicates that the studio is having a little more trouble than expected in porting the game to the previous generation of consoles. “The team works hard to provide the best possible experience on all platforms” announces in particular the press release.

However, Avalanche take this opportunity to thank the players for the welcome they have given to the title so far. “We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the reception Hogwarts Legacy has received from fans around the world.” we can read. And while this news is certainly frustrating for anyone who doesn’t already own a next-gen console, it’s worth remembering that it’s still the best thing to do so that everyone can live this adventure in the best conditions possible. See you in a little over two months, then.

As a reminder, Hogwarts Legacy is now available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The Nintendo Switch version is still scheduled for July 25.
