Avalanche Software has finally found an official fix for Hogwarts Legacy where some players are reporting a crash on the map. It is still unclear why this error occurs, which leaves the characters trapped in the game world. At the very least, the developer is aware of the problem and is looking to fix it later.

Some possible fixes for Hogwarts Legacy players falling on the map

As Avalanche Software Community Manager Chandler Wood pointed out, the developer has noticed this issue. The issue comes in different variations whether a character is stuck under the map or inside objects.

For now, as a possible workaround, Avalanche Software recommends that players quit the game and load their most recent autosave instead of continuing. If players are willing to take a chance, they can try running to a location on the map where they can activate fast travel. For some, going east from Hogwarts to the nearby body of water worked. A user replying to the tweet says getting on the broom and back on the map also fixed the issue.

Meanwhile, the Hogwarts Legacy PS5 patch has been delayed for several days, with the Xbox and PC patch going live yesterday February 14th. According to the patch notes, the update will fix several crashes and other stability issues.
