Genshin Impact version 3.6 update will offer more ways to earn free Primogems than usual thanks to the upcoming map expansion. A brand new area called the Sandbelt is added to the Sumeru Desert region of the anime game, northwest of the Hadramaveth Desert, an area that was recently added in version 3.4. If we’re lucky, this new desert map will have a little more to do above ground than the others.
Many of the most interesting places in the Sumeru Desert are below the surface, which can be difficult to explore due to the lack of an underground map in the game. Anyway, new chests, world quests and collectibles will lead to more Primogems whether underground or not.
Genshin Impact version 3.6 will also include Sumeru’s first national event, as well as the Mondstadt Windblume Festival and the Liyue Lantern Rite. The event should be another easy way to earn extra cousins for everyone who attends.
And you’ll need those extra gems if you plan on bringing in the newcomers to Genshin Impact’s upcoming banners: Dendro, Baizhu, and Kaveh users.
These estimates below are from a HoYoLAB mod, guide writer, and infographic designer named SoraHoshina. They consider various gem sources for calculations, including Welkin’s Blessings, Character Trials, Gathering Events, and more.
As you can see above, free players can expect to earn around 10,490 Primogems, 16 Acquaint Fate, and five Intertwined Fate. During that time, those spending a little cash can expect to see around 14,950 Primogems, 16 Acquaint Fate, and nine Intertwined Fate.
And, as always, Spiral Abyss gem totals vary depending on whether or not you can get 36 stars and complete battle challenges within the time limit.
Prepare for a lot of scouting in this update, especially if you plan to search for Nahida or Nilou with Baizhu and Kaveh.
