We’re in the final hours before today’s Nintendo Direct live coverage, and while there have been relatively few major leaks, there’s one early reveal I never saw coming: a new Samba game from Amigo.

If you weren’t a turn-of-the-century arcade fan or Dreamcast owner, Samba de Amigo is a rhythm game developed by Sega and originally released in 1999. The game had you swinging maracas at various popular latin songs. , and although a Wii version was released in 2007, the series has been virtually dead for a few decades, despite its reputation as a cult classic.

But news of Samba de Amigo: Party Central for Switch has hit the internet ahead of today’s Nintendo Direct, courtesy of SnoopyTech tech leak (opens in a new tab). This is a major leak with screenshots, store descriptions, and more. Although you should take all rumors with a grain of salt, there is too much smoke here to ignore the possibility of a fire. Well, who is going to invent a new Samba de Amigo?

Party Central seems to be taking a broader approach to their styles, seemingly in the vein of Ubisoft’s Just Dance series. The game (or rather the leak of the game) promises 40 titles from genres such as EDM, pop and Latin music. There will be mini-games and online features, including an 8-player mode.

Samba de Amigo: Party Central would launch for $39.99 on June 30. It’s not yet known if custom maraca controllers will be released to brighten the occasion, or if we’re just dealing with regular joy-con motion controls.

It’s one more for the long list of next switch games.
