Although Alhaitham is a character whose gadget needs are quite simple, there are a lot more choices when it comes to his weapons. Depending on your party and Artifacts, you can choose to prioritize Elemental Mastery or your Sword Critical stats. You can use his weapon to fill any gaps in his stats or enhance his abilities like Dendro DPS based on the passive ability.
Some weapons you can consider in your Alhaitham in Genshin Impact are:
Leaf incision light
As always, a 5-star character’s best weapon will be any 5-star weapon on their banner. It’s his signature weapon for a reason. The Leaf Slash Light is a fantastic sword for almost any DPS character due to its passive crit rate and increased crit DMG. For Alhaitham in particular, the Leaf Light Slash increases his DMG based on his Elemental Mastery. And as Dendro’s character, Alhaitham will naturally have a high EM. There is a time limit on the DMG boost, but you’ll likely be using Alhaitham as part of a rotation, so this weapon’s cooldown should coincide with when you take it out of the field.
reinforced mist separator
Much like the Leaf Gap Light, the Mistsplitter Reforged is a fantastic DPS sword. You get separate stacks based on: using a normal attack (with elemental DMG); use an elemental explosion; and have less than 100% power. Each stack increases your elemental DMG and Mistsplitter passively increases the user’s elemental DMG. This fits very well with Alhaitham’s playstyle, which focuses on attacking Dendro DMG with his attacks.
Toukabou Shigure
The Toukabou Shigure was a limited event sword by Akitsu Kimodameshi. It is an elemental mastery weapon that increases Alhaitham’s DMG against an enemy with the Cursed Parasol mark. This makes it a very good weapon against unique enemies. On paper, Toukabou Shigure’s passive doesn’t work well with the AoE Dendro DMG from Alhaitham’s mirrors. In practice, this is perfectly fine.
black sword
Black Sword is available through Gnostic Hymn, which means you have to spend real money to get it. However, if you have it, it’s a pretty good sword and easily accessible for Alhaitham. Passively increases his critical rate, as well as his normal and charged attacks. Alhaitham’s kit revolves around them, making it a great way to increase his damage potential.
iron sting
The last 4 star weapon that is good for Alhaitham also revolves around his elemental mastery. His passive ability also increases his DMG every time he deals elemental DMG, which is pretty much all the time. It lacks the punch of, say, Black Sword or even the Toukabou Shigure. However, it is more than useful, not to mention that it is free. Because you can forget about it, it’s easy to upload to R5.
