This time last year one of the most popular anime of the last few years was airing and it is My darling dressing, as its protagonist has become an icon of the cosplay scene. It is already confirmed that My Dress-Up Darling anime will have a second season, but as of now, its premiere date has not been announced. Even so, it’s expected to come in the latter half of 2023, so for now all that remains is to enjoy Marin Kitagawa’s cosplays like the one done by the beautiful Hatarubi inspired by My Dress-Up Darling.
Hatarubi has actually been posting cosplay photos on social media for over eight years, but it took him a while to start posting professional-looking work. Hatarubi’s first pro-grade shoots took place just over five years ago, and he’s improved a lot as a cosplayer since then, as evidenced by his cosplay as Marin Kitagawa from My Dress-Up Darling.
Over the past year, Hatarubi has released just over a dozen different cosplays, including two from My Dress-Up Darling. In May, we saw Hatarubi Shizuku Tan’s cosplay inspired by My Dress-Up Darling, but it wasn’t until August that we saw her Marin Kitagawa cosplay bring the character to life in her student uniform.
Hatarubi’s first My Dress-Up Darling cosplay was Shizuku Tan’s and it turned out great, but even so, we were expecting a costume-less Marin Kitagawa cosplay. This cosplay arrived at the end of August last year with a session full of fan service which we can appreciate a little higher, which had an extremely positive reception from its followers.
It’s been over six months since we’ve seen Hatarubi in a cosplay inspired by the anime and manga My Dress-Up Darling, but we hope she returns as Marin Kitagawa later on. Hatarubi will likely be cosplaying Sailor again as the second season of the My Dress-Up Darling anime approaches, so we’ll probably have to wait another six months.
