During a PAX East 2023 conference, Ben Prendergast, the interpreter of Tyr in God of War Ragnarök, teased a possible return of his character in the future.

From the top of its 11 million copies sold on February 1, but also from its dozens of nominations and awards obtained during the various end-of-year ceremonies, God of War Ragnarök has quickly established itself as one of the standout titles of 2022. And the work is not quite finished yet for Santa Monica, which is currently working on the arrival of a highly demanded New Game+ mode. But according to recent information, something bigger could be brewing.

God of War Ragnarök Actor Teases Something New

And it is not for nothing, on the occasion of the PAX East 2023 which took place this weekend in Boston (United States), one of the protagonists of the game made statements that could not be more amazing. According to Shark Games, Tyr’s interpreter, Ben Prendergast, reportedly said: “And I will say this: this is not the last time you will see Tyr.. Obviously, it was enough for the fans to start speculating on this information, which arrives somewhat unexpectedly. So that ? Because Santa Monica has already confirmed that there is no DLC in the series for God of War Ragnarok.

Given the phenomenal success of the game, could it be that the studio has finally changed its position? It’s not impossible, and it wouldn’t be the first time something like this has happened in the industry. However, let’s not forget that a TV series is currently in preparation by Amazon, and which will adapt events from the franchise’s Norse arc. It is therefore perhaps an allusion to this project, in which Prendergast could have a role to play.

New job? to separate

Unless there is already talk of a new book, which would be extremely surprising knowing that Santa Monica has already confirmed that God of War Ragnarök constitutes the conclusion of this narrative arc. Having said that, For some, a spin-off dedicated to Atreus would still be a possibility, effectively allowing to see characters like Tyr again. in the future. In short, the possibilities are numerous and as it stands, apart from being patient to find out what this statement hides, there is unfortunately not much more to do.
