God of war ragnarok lost another Game of the Year award to old ring this time at the 26th Annual DICE Awards 2023, held yesterday.
God Of War Ragnarok Loses Another GOTY Award At DICE 2023
God of War Ragnarok won in many categories, although it failed to take home the biggest prize of the night.
The PlayStation exclusive won the gong in the following categories:
- Outstanding Achievement in Animation
- Outstanding Achievement in Art Direction
- Outstanding Achievement in Character
- Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composition
- Outstanding Achievement in Audio Design
- Outstanding Achievement in History
- Adventure Game of the Year
While this was an impressive sweep for the Sony Santa Monica title, it lost Game of the Year at the DICE Awards to Elden Ring.
Elden Ring also beat God of War Ragnarok in the Game of the Year category at The Game Awards 2022, creating fierce competition between the two titans last year. Elden Ring recently celebrated the one year anniversary of the game’s release, with fans anticipating potential DLC to come and hoping for more from one of the biggest games of the last year.
In other PlayStation news, it looks like Sony will be hosting another show closer to E3 2023, and that will make up for people who found the recent State of Play disappointing.
