God of War is a game developed by the Santa Monica studios, and it is one of the big hits of the PlayStation 4. Indeed, it was well received by the press (20/20 at globelivemedia.com) but also by players (9.2 / 10 of Metacritic score). During a Sony showcase in September 2020, a sequel called God of War: Ragnarok. But that’s not the only project Santa Monica is working on.

Towards a new license?

It is through a job offer posted by Sony that the information has been detected. The publisher is looking for an Art Director to work on the development of a title that has not yet been announced. In view of the job sought, Panthaa considers that the project is still in its early stages.

Regarding the title itself, Panthaa offers two avenues for reflection. First, it brings up a game Cory Balrog (creative director and writer of God of War) worked on for three years, before canceling it in 2014. The second track is about an idea shared by the same man in Skill Up: in 2018, he said he wanted to create a game “agreeing 100% with what he had in mind“, but that first of all we had to convince Sony.
