Ghostwire Tokyo It will soon be celebrating its first anniversary, and Bethesda will continue to support the game beyond that with a huge content update called Spider’s Thread. The update will add a new game mode, as well as new locations, abilities, and enemies to the main campaign.
When will the Ghostwire Tokyo Spider’s Thread update be released?
The free content/DLC update for Spider’s Thread will be released on April 12 for PS5 and PC. The main draw of the update is the titular game mode, Spider’s Thread. Players are faced with 30 stages chosen from over 130 levels and the only objective is to reach the end. Failing in the middle of a race will cause players to roll back to the start. However, completing challenges throughout the mode will reward upgrades which can be carried over between matches to become stronger and have a better chance of reaching the end.

The main story will also receive many additions. The new locations will include a spooky high school area and offer new quests and expanded story scenes. There will be new combat abilities like counterattack, quick dodge, and quick charge that can turn a palm strike into an elemental charged melee attack. New talismans will add new effects, such as using whirlwinds to reach greater heights. All of these will need to be used against new visitors like the “Quick Retribution, Invisible Silent Gaze, or High-Flying Sanguine Dancer”.
Photo mode will also be expanded and there will be other features, but Bethesda is keeping them under wraps for now.
