Genshin Impact update 3.5 has arrived, and one of the first events to hit patient players is Windblume’s Breath. This limited event marks the return of the Mondstadt Windblume Festival and will give players the chance to earn exclusive rewards by participating. Here’s everything you need to know about Windblume’s Breath.

Genshin Impact Windblume’s Breath Event Title

The Windblume’s Breath event will kick off on March 3 and run until March 20, giving players plenty of time to play the event’s new game modes and reap the rewards. These new modes will come in three stages, with the first available in March, the next on March 5, and the last available from March 7. The event store will be open for one more week after the event closes to give players some extra time to cash in their event currency, eventually closing on March 27.

To play the event, you will need to be at least Adventure Rank 18 and have completed the Archon quest “Song of the Dragon and Freedom”, the end of the Prologue chapter, and the Mondstadt arc. To get the most out of the event, it is recommended that you have also completed the Archon quest “Akasha Pulses, Kalpa Flame Rises” and the Albedo’s Story quest “Princeps Cretaceus Chapter: Act I”.

Genshin Impact Windblume Breath Event Challenges

Windblume’s Breath introduces three new game modes, each of which will reward players with floral coupons and festive tickets to redeem for rewards.

  • breeze ballads — This mode is basically a kind of minor rhythm game. Players will need to follow a song and time their button presses to the beat. As a bonus, players can also compose their own songs in Ballads of Breeze to share with friends.
  • flower hunt — The Adventurers’ Guild has invented a new game known as “Flower Chess”, in which players collect flower balloons to increase their score. The resemblance to actual Chess seems tenuous at best, but this mode is the key to unlocking the event-exclusive Mailed Flower weapon, so it’s worth completing the challenges here for that alone.
  • windy snapshots — Fassben the Adventurer is creating a photo album, and helpful travelers will need to take pictures with their cameras to help fill it out.

Genshin Impact Windblume’s Breath Event Reward

Each of the new game modes will reward players with Flower Coupons and Vacation Tickets, which can be redeemed in the Event Store for their hard-earned rewards. These include the usual fare like Primogems, Mora, and Mystic Enhancement Ore, but there are also furniture, talents, and character ascension materials, and a rare and coveted Crown of Insight is also on offer. Of particular note is the Claymore the Mailed Flower exclusive event, which appears to require completing challenges in Floral Pursuit to unlock.
