First up: Who is Dehya in Genshin Impact?
Dehya belongs to the faction of hermits, a band of warriors who pledge allegiance to no nation. Instead, these characters operate as mercenaries, performing tasks for the highest payer, forming no bond with either. The exact details of her story are still unknown, but we believe that Dehya will play an important role in Sumeru’s story.
What are Dehya’s abilities in Genshin Impact?
HoYoverse has confirmed that Dehya is a 5-star Claymore user. His combat abilities were revealed in the 3.5 live stream.

Dehya’s Elemental Ability: Molten Inferno
This ability will activate if there is no Fiery Sanctum created by Dehya herself at the time. Grants AoE Pyro DMG and creates a field known as Fiery Sanctum.
This ability will activate if a Fiery Sanctum field created by Dehya herself already exists. Dehya will perform a jump attack, inflicting AoE Pyro DMG before recreating a Fiery Sanctum field in its new position. A Fiery Sanctum field created in this way will inherit the original duration of the previous field. Only 1 reaching llama can be used for the duration of a single Fiery Sanctum field.
When an opponent inside a Fiery Sanctum field receives DMG, the field will unleash a coordinated attack, inflicting AoE Pyro DMG on them. This effect can be activated once every 2.5 seconds. Characters active in this field have their interrupt resistance increased, and when said characters take DMG, some of that damage will be mitigated and flow into Blood of Redmane.
Dehya will then take that DMG for 10 seconds. When the mitigated DMG stored by Redmane’s Blood reaches or exceeds a certain percentage of Dehya’s Max HP, it will stop mitigating DMG that way. Only one Fiery Sanctum created by Dehya herself can exist at a time.
- Dehya Elemental Blast: The bite of the lioness
Unleashing her fiery rage and tossing her sword aside as an inconvenience, Dehya enters the Blazing Lioness state and gains resistance to interrupt. While in this state, Dehya will automatically and continuously drop Flame-Mane Fists, inflicting Pyro DMG, and at the end of its duration, it will trigger an Incineration Drive kick, inflicting AoE Pyro DMG.
In this state, his normal attacks will be replaced by Roaring Flurry. Triggering Roaring Flurry within 0.4 after each Fire Mane Fist hit will increase the activation speed of the next Fire Mane Fist hit. If a Fiery Sanctum field created by Dehya’s own elemental ability, Molten Inferno, exists, when that ability is triggered, Dehya will pick it up, then create another field after Blazing Lioness’ duration expires. This field will then take the duration of the recovered field at the time of its recovery.
The story behind Dehya
Dehya will have a featured story mission in the game. Although little is known about the mission, it has been confirmed that it will be called the “Chapter of Mantichora” and will involve Dehya assisting in his tribe.
