Today’s Genshin Impact special airing for version 3.6 broke the hearts of all potential Eula majors by revealing that she, once again, won’t be getting a banner. Instead, the anime game will feature Nahida and Nilou in the first half, then Baizhu, Ganyu, and Kaveh in the second half. Thus, Eula will continue to have the longest non-appearance streak in a banner in Genshin Impact, surpassing the record of 18 months.
Looking at this lineup objectively, the combination of Nahida, Nilou, Baizhu, and Kaveh doesn’t fit a Cryo character at all. Three of these characters use Dendro and one is a Hydro user who favors Dendro teams.
It would make sense not to have a single Cryo character there, but for some reason Ganyu, a primary Cryo DPS, is getting his third iteration in just over a year. Truth be told, it’s a bit unnerving at this point.
In fairness, as a native of Mondstadt, Eula should have had a rehearsal during the Mondstadt Windblume event earlier in Genshin Impact 3.5, instead of showing banners to Ayaka and Shenhe, two Cryo characters who have nothing to do with each other. Mondstadt.
Now players who have been waiting for Eula will have to be even more patient. This hasn’t happened again since November 2021, so the patience may have long run out.
HoYoverse has yet to reveal which four-star characters will be available in Genshin Impact 3.6 banners, but we now know for a fact that Eula will have to wait until at least 3.7 to appear.
In the meantime, you can still support Ayaka and Shenhe during the second half of the current update before 3.6 goes live in just under two weeks.
