The Genshin Impact version 3.6 update will bring a new floating companion device which appears to be a distant relative of Endora. And for those unaware, Endora is basically a mini version of the world boss Oceanid in Genshin Impact, and was given out as part of the Wishful Drops event in patch 1.4. According to recent leaks, another friend similar to the device will arrive in the next anime game update.
HoYoverse expands the Sumeru map again by adding a whole new section of desert. The expansion seems to be tied to a new mission, which is how you can add this new companion to your growing list of gadgets.
If the leaked information is correct, you’ll need to be at least Adventure Rank 20 to start the quest, and it can’t be skipped with the quickstart feature that appears for limited-time events. So it’s probably a barely-stolen way for HoYovere to get players to explore the new desert area.
It looks like you don’t need to fully complete the quest to get the device, but it will net you Primogems, Upgrade Books, and Ascension Materials.
The leak is coming Vissi on Twitter, who also shared an image of the event menu for Genshin Impact version 3.6. In it, you can see that the pink companion looks a bit like a Pyro version of Endora, pictured below:
While the process of getting the new gadget is similar to Endora’s Wishful Drops event, you’ll first need to use the gadget in some sort of activity before it becomes a permanent add-on option.
