Even years after his playable debut, Ganyu is still one of the best DPS characters in Genshin Impact. Luckily, over time, ascension materials for Ganyu are fairly easy and simple to find. You can find all of your Ascension materials in regions that were available at launch. This means that even new travelers should be able to build their Ganyu with no problem.

Climb 6:

In total you will need: 420,000 Mora, 46 Frost Cores, 168 Qingxins, 18 Whopperflower Nectars, 30 Glowing Nectars and 36 Power Nectars. You can get Nectars from Whopperflower enemies all over Teyvat. As for the Frost Cores, these are drops from the world boss Cryo Regisvine in Mondstadt. Qingxin flowers are found in the mountains around Liyue. You can also grow them in your Serenitea Pot, which is a luxury the OG Ganyu networks didn’t have.
For his Talents, Ganyu takes Diligence. You can get Stagecoach Talent Books at Taishan Mansion every Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday. His weekly boss is Shadow of the Warrior. You can get them from Childe. To upgrade a single talent to level 10, you will need:

- 6 Whopperflower Nectares
- 22 luminous nectars
- 31 energy nectars
- 3 lessons of diligence
- 21 guides for the stagecoach
- 38 Philosophies of diligence
- 6 warrior shadows
- 1 Crown of Insight
Ganyu’s Crit DMG increases with each Ascension. So you should Ascend it all the way. As a Cryo character whose best set of artifacts in the slot is Blizzard Strayer, the more Crit DMG you can stuff him with, the better he’ll fare.
