Funko wants to expand its business and already has its sights set on video games. The entertainment and collectibles company will take advantage of its popularity to offer players unique experiences with various AAA productions.

To do this, it will work with 10:10 Games, a studio founded in 2021 that has the talent of various industry veterans, including developers from TT Games, known for its LEGO games. The companies are already working so that their first AAA is ready and debuts in 2023.

Funko’s first project will be an action game

Funko is no stranger to video games, as it has various lines of collectibles based on popular franchises in the medium. Now, it’s going to break into the industry with an action-platformer coming sometime next year.

10:10 Games, a studio led by Jon Burton, brought together a team of experienced developers to make the project a reality and satisfy all fans of the brand. The goal of this alliance is to make various AAAs that will debut on consoles and PC. The first project is intended to be suitable for all audiences.

“Funko is an iconic brand that truly understands the ingredients that go into making a world-class video game. 10:10 Games is thrilled to bring to life a new experience for its fans and gamers alike,” said Arthur Parsons, Design Director, 10:10 Games.

For his part, Andrew Perlmutter, executive director of Funko, pointed out that the alliance will be very important since it will allow fans to connect “emotionally with their favorite fandoms”, something that is essential for the company.

“By partnering with 10:10 Games and utilizing the best creators in the business, we will have the talent to deliver games that reflect Funko’s unique look across all of its assorted lines and products.” Below you can see a trailer of the alliance.
