To set up Fortnite Postparty, you must first download the mobile app to your phone, which is available on the App Store – opens in a new tab for iOS, Google Play Store – opens in a new tab on Android, or via the Epic Games App (opens in a new tab) on Samsung Galaxy. Once the app is installed, open it and sign in with the details of the Epic Games account you are playing Fortnite with, then confirm that the linked platform accounts shown in the app correctly match your details. You can then return to Fortnite, where the Postparty integration will have been automatically activated.
How to use Fortnite Postparty to create and share clips

Once you’re in a match, you can hold the Fortnite Postparty button or your platform’s capture key to save the previous 30 seconds of gameplay, which will show a “Clip Captured” notification. These are the default Postparty capture buttons, although they can be reassigned in the control settings:

- Nintendo Switch controllers: + button
- Keyboard: escape key
You’ll be prompted to save a clip each time you kill, though you can hold down the corresponding button to save a recording at any time. Clips will automatically upload to the app, although they may take up to five minutes to appear after processing. You can then preview the clip through the app, trimming the start and end point, before posting it directly to various social media sites or saving it to your phone to share later.

Popping up that Fortnite Postparty notification and reminding yourself that you can “hold to cut now” can be helpful at first, but seeing it every time you kill can get annoying after a while. Luckily, it’s easy to get rid of it if you don’t want it anymore, and just open the settingsSelect the Account and Privacy tab, then edit the tab cutting reminders the option to Disabled. You can also disable after-party recording from this same menu, if you find that it’s causing performance issues with your hardware.
