Another day, another Fortnite data miner leaked, and this one once again claims that a first-person mode is coming to Fortnite from Epic Games.

“Fortnite’s first-person mode (opens in a new tab) is finally coming NEXT SEASON,” famed Fortnite data miner and leaker Hypex announced over the weekend. “The same reliable source confirmed it to me and @ShiinaBR, and now @GMatrixGames and @iFireMonkey have gotten their confirmation as well.”

This latest report follows rumors from late January also suggesting that Fortnite could be live for a first-person mode (opens in a new tab) after files buried in a new update were discovered. What’s particularly interesting this time around, however, is that Hypex not only attributes this latest report to data mining, but insists that a “trusted source” has confirmed the mode is coming.

Will it be permanent? Will it be a limited time mode? At the moment, no one knows, and it could all be a mistake or a hoax, of course.
