Remember when Joseph Staten, the Halo veteran who moved to 343 Industries in August 2020 to “save” Halo Infinite, then left the studio earlier this year to return to Xbox’s publishing division? It turns out that deep down, it was he who was preparing his final departure from the company.
The state has confirmed leaving Microsoft entirely. He doesn’t want to reveal the reason yet, but his statement suggests that another game development studio offered him a new and better project.
