Thanks to Untold Tales and Kautki Cave, we have a launch trailer for flame keeper. The dynamic action rogue-lite has arrived on Switch to close out the week.
Become Ignis, a special coal charged with freeing this world of Orbis, recently invaded by the forces of darkness. Fortunately, you are trained in the art of mortal combat! Learn to fight, improve your skills, venture into increasingly hostile worlds, and restore the Eternal Flame.
Adapt and engage enemies with a host of moves and attacks, including punch combos, flaming dashes, wide area-of-effect stomps, and powerful damage-dealing finishing moves massive. But don’t be too reckless: smart use of stamina is essential. Each Flame Keeper biome is inhabited by unique enemies and obstacles of increasing difficulty. Consult the Trusted Bestiary as you uncover your enemies’ strengths and weaknesses.
It’s not enough to let your fists do the talking. Sometimes… you need a little encouragement. Upgrade Ignis to your liking through skills and passive abilities. Collect seeds from defeated enemies to learn new abilities and complete specific tasks to receive runes and unlock useful passive abilities. Mix and match to create tons of different builds!
To restore the Eternal Flame, you must search each environment for what remains of its energy and transfer it to each stage’s fire camp. Here’s the twist: the energy you collect also acts as your health. You need to deplete it to refill each Fire Camp, but you also need to stay healthy to explore ever deeper. Find the right balance and discover your best way to play.
At the start of each level is Vulpis Village. Vulpis are friends with a spunky chickadee like you, so they’re happy to help. Here you can rest, improve your skills, rebuild and upgrade structures with the resources you collect. The city changes with your progress and each time opens new game features.
Flame Keeper is currently an ongoing game and will be developed and shaped with community input. You can expect the experience to evolve as you play and provide feedback, and as we continue to update and add content. You can expect new weapons and perks, new biomes, enemies, bosses, vendor items like elixirs, and more in the coming months.
