EA today removed the curtain from the logo to EA deports FCWhat will be the new name of the fifa series starting with this year’s game. The brand will debut at football matches around the world starting this week.
As of now, we don’t know anything about the actual gameplay, other than the fact that we’ll have a big reveal in July. Instead, EA is taking this opportunity to try and get us all used to the new name over the next few months.
Here’s what Nick Wlodyka, Senior Vice President and General Manager of EA Sports FC, had to say in a press release:
“This is where the story of EA SPORTS FC begins. We’re building on 30 years of leadership and history by creating experiences that unite the global football community and continue to lead it towards a future where fans come first. EA SPORTS FC will be a symbol for the sport, a symbol of innovation and change, and we’re excited to show our fans more about the future in July.”
It was in May 2022 that EA announced plans to drop the FIFA name, with a report suggesting the company was no longer willing to pay for the license. This is also when the EA Sports FC brand was first announced.
