Most of you probably remember the Medal of Honor series from its so-called “glory days” of the early 2000s. Many WWII-themed MoH titles appeared on the original Xbox at the time, before the series began to fade away with Call of Duty’s meteoric rise to stardom fueled by Modern Warfare. However, EA tried to follow in Activision’s footsteps before ending the series, and that attempt spawned a very interesting project.

Essentially EA went the reboot route with ‘Medal of Honor 2010′ as we know, a modern themed shooter designed to try and compete with Call of Duty at the time. As EA studio Danger Close prepared the game’s single-player campaign, FPS veterans DICE fully fleshed out the multiplayer portion, and it was actually Very funny.

MoH 2010’s multiplayer, for short, was DICE’s.Bad company on the battlefield‘ became something very much like Call of Duty. Reduce the importance of vehicles and classes, and add relatively small loadouts, killstreaks and levels and you’re done. It was by no means perfect, but DICE had a very solid bad company 2base-based construction from this; We’ve ended up spending quite a bit of time on this in the past.

The game was never backwards compatible, so we haven’t played it much in recent years, and we don’t know if anyone is still playing at this point. However, as we near its closing later this week, we may have to queue one last time, in hopes that DICE’s only Medal of Honor battlefield they are not a complete ghost town in 2023.
