Metroid Prime Remastered is here, and it’s great, but it’s missing the unlockable Fusion suit, a problem fans hope will be fixed with the imminent debut of Metroid Fusion through the Nintendo Switch Online service.

This week, Nintendo Announcement (opens in a new tab) that the classic Metroid Fusion would arrive in the GBA library available in the premier expansion pack for the Nintendo Switch Online service. This game’s story sees the protagonist Samus fused with a Metroid, eventually donning a semi-organic costume. The Fusion Suit’s design is distinct from anything Samus wears on the show, and it’s become more and more iconic over the years.

In 2002, the original versions of Metroid Fusion and Metroid Prime were released a day apart, and connecting the two games via a GameCube-GBA link cable would unlock additional features on Prime. If you beat both games and link them, you’ll be able to play Prime again using the Fusion outfit, a little bonus for fans of both.
