Valheim launched on Xbox Series X | S and Xbox One earlier this week, but it looks like it won’t be exclusive to those consoles for as long as expected. According to an email sent to Xbox Game Pass subscribers, the game will only be exclusive to those consoles for six months and will most likely come to PS5 and PS4 soon after.
When is the Valheim PS5 and PS4 release date?
Valheim launched on Xbox this month, which means the first launch date for Valheim on PS5 and PS4 is September 14, 2023. The six-month exclusivity period has been confirmed to players in emails spotted by Twisted Voxel, though that doesn’t mean the game will be coming to PlayStation immediately, if at all.
Earlier this week, Iron Gate’s Jonathan Smårs said the developer was “just looking at Xbox” when asked if the game would be heading to PlayStation in the future, although he didn’t rule that out. more. The Early Access game was hugely successful on PC, selling over five million copies in just weeks as players flocked to survive and explore a procedurally generated world inspired by Norse mythology. Hopefully, Valheim will end its Xbox exclusivity period and will also be available on PlayStation consoles later this year.
