Esports organization Evil Geniuses has had a rather disappointing performance so far this year. League of Legends Championship Series so far this year as their roster hasn’t been able to compete with the best in the region. Organizers know that is not enough and have promised sweeping changes in a last-ditch effort to secure a World Championship spot later this year.
In view of a campaign in the Summer Split which must be exceptional to achieve this, EG have begun a reconstruction which, for the moment, has led to the organization laying off its head coach and assistant coach.
Aleš “Freeze” Kněžínek and Albert “H4xDefender” Ong will no longer be part of the team and from the looks of things, we can expect more changes in the days and weeks to come.
It has not yet been announced who will be the replacement coach for EG.
