Fractal tournament system for ev.io

ev.io is launching the first of its new-format tournaments this month in partnership with Fractal, offering players the chance to win test collectibles. The Platinum version of these collectibles, awarded to the top 10% players on the leaderboard for that month/season, allows owners to earn 20 times normal match earnings in the upcoming monthly event, Deathmatch Earn!

To rank on the leaderboards, players simply need to log into the game with their Fractal Wallet and play ev.io in any game mode at any time of the month. The game is free and the rankings are open to everyone. Although those with Ev NFT earn significantly more mida cumulative point system to use for leaderboards (and also charges SOL tokens if you accumulate enough).

At the end of the season, participants receive playtest collectibles based on their finishing position. Platinum for the top 10%, Gold for the top 40%, Silver for the top 70%, and Bronze for everyone else. Only holders of Platinum PoPs from the last season receive the bonus earnings from the Deathmatch Earn event.

If you can’t earn the Platinum level reward, you can always craft it instead! Players can also upgrade these collectibles into higher level versions. The exchange rate burns three from one level for one from the next higher level (eg, 3 Bronze to make a Silver). Therefore, going from Zero to Platinum would require 27 Bronze PoP or its equivalent. These items will be tradable on the Fractal Market. Proof of Play collectibles can also be merged and crafted across seasons, providing continued value for these badges even in future seasons.

The game runs great and has an Unreal tournament feel. The arenas are quite simple, with many corridors and high ceilings to jump. Players start with a basic rifle and grenades, but can pick up other weapons that spawn on the map. Matches are timed and generally action-packed. Public servers are still available and players can also create their own custom game lobbies.

ev.io features an upgrade system, which allows players to customize their playstyle by purchasing attributes such as reduced cooldown or triple jump ability. In the future, players will also be able to upgrade their NFTs to increase their income.
