Eternal Dragons’ first official PvP tournament begins at the end of March. With a prize pool of over $15,000 USDC, this is a great chance to play and win for aspiring dragon tamers!

Eternal Dragons recently introduced PvP in its dragon-themed auto-battler. Now they are preparing to hold their first official tournament, with a huge prize pool and a new feature known as Player Cards.

If you want to practice a bit before the big tournament, the second Eternal Dragons PvP Alpha League begins tomorrow, March 20. In addition to perfecting their game, the top three players also win prizes. Three offspring eggs for first place, two for second place, and one for third place.

Eternal Dragons Alpha Tournament

The first official Eternal Dragons tournament will take place from March 31 to April 2. This tournament offers 128 player slots. One hundred of them can be purchased for 5 SOL tokens, and the remaining 28 are reserved for partner promotions.

Tickets are set to go on sale next week, with priority access for those with 35 or more Genesis Dragons and the top 25 finishers from the first Alpha League PvP season. The tournament is single elimination, best of three matches until the final, which will be the best of five matches.

The prize pool includes $15,000 plus the amount spent on tickets. The top 64 players receive prizes, with a minimum of $3,000 for first place! Which is a very good price!

player cards

Eternal Dragons also offers player cards. These are awarded to all players who register for an Eternal Dragons tournament. Each participant receives 100 player cards that track that player’s stats. These cards also represent a bet on the tournament. They can be delivered to anyone. Any prizes the player wins are shared by everyone with a player card!

This is quite an interesting and unique feature. I can’t wait to see how players use these cards and what kind of markets can develop around them.

As a bonus, having a player card grants owners access to the Eternal Dragons alpha.

What is Eternal Dragons?

Eternal Dragons is an auto battle game based on the Solana blockchain with dragons as battle units. With many different classes, position-based abilities, and elemental affinities, Eternal Dragons is sure to offer plenty of room for different strategies and team builds. Dragons have base stats of Hit Points, Elemental Power (Magic Damage), and Physical Power (Physical Damage).

Additionally, Eternal Dragons units have other attributes that affect their combat abilities. First, everyone has a default ability. This is the basic and most used ability for this Dragon. It can be an attack, a heal, a buff/debuff or even a combination. Units also have primary stats that they prefer. This will matter when players add items to units, as items that match primary stats will provide better combat value. Dragons also have skill sets and class abilities. Skill Set is a set of skills. Only dragons with matching skill sets can use these skills. And, as you might guess, class abilities are specific to certain dragon classes.

Additionally, each Dragon class has other classes it likes to associate with. These are known as “neighbor dragons”. Neighboring dragons share skills. And they will tend to have class skills and abilities that mesh well together. Dragons also receive bonuses for sharing affinities with their teammates. Each NFT has an affinity associated with it, such as Earth, Air, or Void.

So there’s definitely a lot to consider when building teams and playing! Eternal Dragons is looking to join the ranks of Web3 esports games, and providing strategic depth is an important part of making that work.
