Escape from Tarkov responded to the current controversy surrounding the large number of cheaters who poison the game.

His answer comes after research by an Escape from Tarkov player found that 60% of games were cheats.

Escape from Tarkov was first released to the public in 2017 and development has continued ever since. There have been a few hiccups along the way, like developer Battlestate Games being recently banned from Twitch, but overall it’s going pretty well, with a steady stream of content being added to the game.

It is currently unknown when the game will exit Early Access and become a full release, as no date has been given by the developer.

Battlestate Games studio head Nikita Buyanov posted a statement about cheating on reddit on behalf of the entire company. In the post, Buyanov claims that Escape from Tarkov blocks several thousand cheaters a day, adding that all systems involved in catching and blocking cheaters are constantly updated.

Escaping Tarkov’s serious cheating problem is no secret to the gaming community, and it’s a real problem for the game. Due to its huge success, it’s easy to forget that Escape from Tarkov is still an early access title, and the proliferation of cheats before the beta release would be terrible for the game’s long-term future.
