This Thursday, a financial report for the last quarter was presented to group of kissers where the CEO Lars Wingefors revealed some of the company’s plans for the next five years. As promised by Wingefors, Embracer Group will launch 31 AAA video games in subsequent years, of which only 6 have been officially announced.

First, Lars Wingefors has promised that we will see 5 AAA games from Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal released by 2028, two of which we know are Perfect Dark and Tomb Raider. The rest of the Embracer group studios will be in charge of the other 26 AAA video games they have promised for the next five years.

To be clearer, Lars Wingefors said Embracer Group plans to launch 31 AAA video games as of March 31, 2028in just over five years. To be considered AAA, video games must have more than 100 developers at the peak of development, a sizable budget for marketing, and expected sales of at least two million units.

Wingers said that in addition to the 5 AAA video games they expect to Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal they hope to launch 8 video games from gearbox entertainment11 part of Interactive Saber6 part of Plaion and 1 for Nordic THQ. Of these 31 projects, Wingefors said it has only announced 6 to the public, but there are 17 in production, 9 in pre-production and 5 in concept stage.

Finally, Lars Wingefors said that 24 of the aforementioned AAA video games will be published internally by a company that is part of the Embracer group, in addition to the fact that 28 will be developed internally in their own studios. 23 projects have also been confirmed to belong to Embracer Group IPs, in addition to the fact that 24 are from already established franchises, meaning only 7 are from new IPs.
