The DLC for Elden Ring has been announced. FromSoftware invites players to new adventures in Lands Between.
Eventually! Over a year after the release of the base game, FromSoftware has officially announced DLC for Elden Ring. is titled erdtree shadow and… that’s about all we know for now.
A few moments ago the brand’s Twitter account posted a tweet, signaling that the expansion is in development, and the developers hope that players will look forward to more adventures in the Lands Between. The latter is more than certain: the Questions about the DLC started popping up immediately after the game’s release, which took place on February 25, 2022.
We can say that with this announcement FromSoftware celebrates the first anniversary of its masterpiece (dozens of game titles of the year support it). At the same time, it’s a nice way to celebrate the game’s 20 million copies sold. The developer bragged about this result last week.

For now, we can only speculate on where and when the action of the erdtree shadow DLC will be set. The tree seen in the graphic above resembles the one seen in Depths. It would suggest going back in time, to a time when Godwyn the Golden was still alive. That’s just a guess though – we’ll have to wait for the details.
