We mentioned earlier that Dragon Ball: The Breakers is about to start season 2, but besides that, a new version 2.0 update is also planned. Bandai Namco has shared the patch notes.

There’s actually quite a bit planned here, but we’ll highlight some of the highlights. Online match now has role selection with different options, various adjustments will be implemented and bugs will be fixed.

The full patch notes for the Dragon Ball: The Breakers version 2.0 update are as follows:

Role Selection Changes

Added ROLE SELECTION screen for ONLINE MATCH.

Survivor

  • A matchmaking mode where you can choose to play only as a Survivor.
  • Create a room in which up to seven players can join as survivors.

Flexible: Raider/Survivor

  • A matchmaking mode where you can play as Raider or Survivor.
  • If you are not chosen to be the Raider in a match, you will have a higher chance of being chosen as the Raider in subsequent matches.
  • Also, when multiplayer matchmaking is started in the room, they will not become Raiders and Survivors for the same group.

Raider

About room keys

  • Room keys will no longer be displayed by default.
  • The room key display settings can be changed from the room menu.

Improvements to the Result Screen/Report Function

  • A list showing the results of each player has been added to the results screen.
  • Players can now be reported for foul play directly from this list. These players can now also be banned.

Added “RAID CHARACTERS” section to menu screen

  • The RAIDER CHARACTERS screen is now accessible from the base menu.

Improvements in the “RAID CHARACTERS” section

  • Added “Preset” function. The default Raider can now be displayed in the following areas:

The character illustration at the bottom right of the menu screen.

The cast animation that plays when an opponent is encountered.

Character customization improvements

  • In the SHOP and CHARACTER VISUALS screens, it is now possible to zoom and view animations while previewing costumes. Excludes some accessories, etc.

Avatar edit screen improvements

  • For the CHARACTER CREATION screen, you can now change your appearance from your current avatar. When you change your avatar’s body type, the previous avatar will be lost.

Manual section additions

  • Added pages to the manual describing each Raider’s playstyle.

Other

  • Minor screen tweaks, etc.

The following is a description of the various game balance fixes and adjustments.

during the battle

  • Fixed an issue where performing certain actions while floating via the Floating Device active ability would incorrectly alter player speed.
  • Fixed an issue where Survivor Ki Blasts and Ki Waves were canceling certain Raider Ki Blasts and Ki Waves.
  • Fixed an issue where the movement speed offset of a medium jump would cause the player to move at a higher than normal speed when moving through the floating device’s passive ability・Fixed range of effect of the active skill defensive wall
  • Fixed the lock on feature so players can no longer lock on targets that have been moved out of attack range with Ki blasts and Super Move animations.
  • Fixed the effects of Energy Barrier and Angry Shout active abilities so they can destroy buildings as intended.
  • Fixed the effect range of the active ability Break Strike so that it no longer passes through terrain.
  • Fixed the active abilities Enchanting Pose, Solar Flare, Go-Go Gum, and Krillin’s Shoe so that players stay in place when using these abilities while airborne.
  • Other minor fixes.

during the battle

  • Looking at Dragon Radar while moving in a vehicle reduces your movement speed.
  • Causes that if the area where Shenron is summoned is destroyed, the Dragon Balls will reset and the summon will be interrupted.
  • Fixed an issue where the evade action could not be canceled for the active ability Go-Go Gum
  • Made a sound effect play after flight is canceled when removing Ki while in the air
  • Adjusted dodge time when undoing actions such as placing a power key
  • Adjusted the location of item boxes on the map to improve fairness.
  • Causes a sound effect to play when hitting a target with a long range attack.
  • Added an effect to make the location of the nearest altar more obvious once seven Dragon Balls have been collected.
  • Made it so that you can cancel active abilities that are charged before activation by pressing and holding the ability again. Also, it was made so that after charging, the ability can only be used by grabbing a normal attack.
