Dreamlight Valley’s next update is almost here, and developer Gameloft has revealed another big change coming to one of Disney’s top games as part of the Friendship Festival. If you’ve ever wanted to change villager roles in Disney Dreamlight Valley to increase your fishing, mining, or farming bonuses, you can now do so with the addition of special training manuals.
Bringing the colorful characters of Dreamlight Valley to your village and befriending them is one of their main joys, especially for long-time Disney fans. As your friendship progresses, each character can also be assigned to one of five different roles: mining, fishing, gathering, gathering, and digging. When they accompany you on your travels, they will offer you additional rewards if you do the chosen activity.
It’s a godsend, potentially doubling those valuable fish, gems, and crops as you collect them and helping you earn some quick cash in Dreamlight Valley. Importantly, the chances of getting bonus items increase as you assign more villagers to a specific role, which means if you really want to specialize in one thing, it helps to have lots of villagers assigned to it. . However, peers have been far too attached to their roles, which means it’s too easy to set roles early on, only to find that you’ve changed your priorities.
Luckily, Dreamlight Valley Charm’s “A Festival of Friendship” update includes a way to right the wrongs of your past. gameloft revealed that the patch includes “training manuals that can be crafted to change the role of level ten villagers”. There’s no indication of exactly what you’ll need to craft them, but it’s a very welcome change that shows Gameloft is listening to player feedback.
I definitely overloaded with fishing at first. At first it was a good way to earn some quick cash, but as I progressed towards the endgame I largely shifted to farming as my main source of income (pumpkins, anyone?) only to find myself a little short on picking specialists. I can’t wait to jump into this update and increase my bonuses even more, and the ability to get unlimited coal in Dreamlight Valley when the new update arrives means I won’t have to skip either so much time to use.
