A new Nintendo Direct will bring us the “finale” trailer for the Super Mario Bros. movie. in two weeks, but Nintendo says this event won’t feature any “game info” even though rumors of a Mario Switch continue to swirl.

Super Mario Bros. Movie Direct airs March 9 at 2pm PT / 5pm ET / 10pm GMT and will premiere the film’s “final trailer”. The teaser image focuses on Mario’s go-kart action, as Mario leads various racers down Rainbow Road with a blue hull in pursuit. Nintendo states that “no game information will be included in this Nintendo Direct”.

It’s weird to see this show scheduled for March 9 instead of March 10, as Nintendo usually made a lot of Mario-related announcements and promotions on MAR10 Day. In recent years, March 10 has seen games discounted, Mario-themed events for titles like Mario Kart Tour and Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, and the announcement of new Lego Mario games.
