Publisher HandyGames and developer SandBloom Studio have set a release date for De-Exit: Eternal Affairs. On Switch and other platforms, it will be released on April 14, 2023.

De-Exit: Eternal Matters, a cinematic voxel adventure game set in the afterlife, was announced for Switch last October. Initially, no release window was planned.

Here is an overview of the game:

In De-Exit: Eternal Matters, players arrive in the afterlife on the brink of annihilation as they take on the mantle of a recently deceased soul tasked with saving this ethereal dimension. As they explore the mysterious Memory Plane, players will need to use their wits to solve puzzles, unlock hidden passages to traverse the plane, and avoid shadowy enemies lurking in the darkness.

Inspired by the personal loss of a dear friend, De-Exit: Eternal Matters began as a solo project for its creative director, inspired by the loss of a dear friend. Since then, the game has evolved as the SandBloom Studio team grew to twelve members and began working with award-winning German publisher HandyGames. In its effort to create an afterlife open to all, SandBloom has drawn inspiration from various mythologies, religions and cultures to form a unique vision of what awaits us after death.

De-Exit: Eternal Matters explores the cycle of life and death in a thought-provoking way and provides perspective, with a cinematic storytelling style. The unique atmosphere of the game is further complemented by the simple yet unique voxel design, with themed lighting bringing the realm of death to life.
