This Thursday a financial report was given on the last quarter of the financial year for group of kisserswhere CEO Lars Wingefors revealed how many games the company plans to release by 2028. Those plans include new AAA versions of Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montrealwhich they acquired last year with their most important licenses.

During his presentation, the CEO Lars Wingefors said they planned to launch five AAA video games from Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal by 2028, defining these games as experiences with over 100 developers at the peak of development, a large marketing budget, and expected sales of at least 2 million units.

The past five years have seen the release of three AAA video games from these two studios, with Eidos Montreal delivering Shadow of the Tomb Raider in 2018 and Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy in 2021, while Crystal Dynamics made Marvel’s Avenger’s 2021 collaboration with Eidos and released it in 2020.

According to Embracer’s new plans, over the next five years we would see 5 AAA video games from Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal, of which we only know of two. The first is perfect darksince it is developed by Crystal Dynamics in collaboration with The Initiative, while the second is the title of tomb Raider which will be published by Amazon. As for the other three games, for now we can only speculate.

Crystal Dynamics recently hinted at a sequel or remake of Legacy of Kain, so this could be another project coming by 2028. Last year, Embracer Group said it saw potential in the production of remakes, remasters and spin-offs of the licenses that he bought from Square Enix, so you might as well see Deus Ex or Thief.
