Out of nowhere, a new leak reveals that a Counter Strike is about to be released. And the beta could be coming very soon.

Counter Strike is one of those video game names that is mostly remembered for its impact on esports, having been one of the most popular games among gamers at a competitive level for over 10 years. Simple to understand and difficult to master, it was able to spawn tons of stars, while delivering some of the greatest moments in esports history.. Counter Strike Global Offensive is now almost 11 years old and continues to be one of the most popular games competitively. For this reason, few gamers were expecting to see a sequel anytime soon, especially since Valve is usually pretty tight-lipped about its potential plans. And yet, the unexpected finally happened.

Counter Strike 2 planned for very soon

The journalist Richard Lewis, who has also just left the Dexterto site, has just revealed that a new Counter Strike game is about to be released.. And much sooner than you think. Obviously, the game has been in development for quite some time, because according to him, this new version of Counter Strike Global Offensive should be available (in beta version) in March or April. In other words, in the days to come! According to Richard Lewis’ sources, this new game is a priority for the Valve team, and that explains why the team hasn’t necessarily addressed some of the recent Global Offensive issues.

Lewis also reveals some gameplay details: this Counter Strike 2 was developed on the Source 2 graphics engine, which should improve the optimization and graphics of the game. Unfortunately, this should be a problem for gamers who don’t have a good PC: they could actually lose performance. Also, according to Lewis’s sources, the game is already 100% ready, so we should know very soon…
