This Wednesday, February 8, the first Nintendo Direct of 2023 took place and there we were able to see some of the video games that will arrive in the first half, with several relaunches announced. One of them is the Etrian Odyssey Origins Collectionwhich brings together the first 3 games and paves the way for a new title in the franchise.

As announced during Wednesday’s Nintendo Direct, the Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection is coming to Nintendo Switch on July 1, 2023, with the option to purchase the entire bundle or each game separately. This collection arrives to celebrate the 16th anniversary of the franchise and it is already confirmed that Atlus is developing a new installment.

Following the announcement of the Etrian Odyssey Origins collection, the Etrian Odyssey team at Atlus hosted a special show, where they thanked fans for their support and confirmed that they are working on a new game. that the change in hardware made things difficult, as they went from making games for two screens to just one.

As the Atlus Etrian Odyssey team explained, the remasters of the Etrian Odyssey Origins collection fell under the concept “We want people to be able to play the original trilogy, which is no longer available on current consoles”, so they had to change the style of play and prepare new methods for those who want to enjoy handmade cards.

For now, the Etrian Odyssey team at Atlus says they want to hear player feedback on their remasters, so we’ll just have to wait for the trilogy to launch in July. Source: PersonCentral.
