Relic Entertainment announced that Company of Heroes 3 is getting its first major update, Operation Sapphire Jackal. This has different daily and weekly challenges, which will be randomly selected in both multiplayer and co-op modes, as well as various attachments and many more new features. Some challenges which can be enjoyed are: “Get 50 veteran ranks with Wehrmacht infantry”, for the most veteran of the title or “Destroy 50 vehicles with anti-tank guns”.
He will also have new accessories to customize player armies and units in multiplayer and single player modes. These new accessories will be split into free and premium content for players to choose from in the in-game store. These can be purchased with Warbonds, an in-game currency that can be earned by purchasing Warbond Packs. Or they can also be purchased with Merits, another in-game currency that is earned by completing challenges in the title. With the latter, you can only buy certain items from the store.
This extension also includes bug fixes, balance tweaks, and quality improvements, all to improve gameplay and player experience. Some of them are; Clarity improvements between teammates and enemies with unique color option. Added new voiceover for Ghurka infantry, and more.
Operation Sapphire Jackal is now available on Steam.
