For Call of Duty: Warzone a major update is apparently imminent. The fact that a major event will soon take place in the Battle Royale shooter that could produce a new map has been part of the rumor mill for some time.

Now the Twitter account ZestyCODLeaks has released a six-minute clip that contains new lines of dialogue that will be officially added to the game in the future. The lines of dialogue discovered in the game files indicate a new sandbox area with obstacle courses, weapon-free zones and vehicle races.

In addition, the files apparently refer to a plague mode in which players face hordes of zombies- and fight for survival until an atom bomb is dropped on Verdansk. That would fit in with the recent rumors that an event is taking place in Warzone that will eventually lead to a new map.

According to the reports, the new Warzone map is set in the Russian Ural Mountains.

Accordingly, Raven Software and Treyarch would further adapt the BR shooter to Black Ops Cold War, the current part of the first-person shooter series.

The Verdansk map is still based on the maps from Modern Warfare. Well-known leakers had previously announced that the event should run on March 11th in Warzone. We will soon find out whether the rumors are true. We will keep you up to date in our Gaming section.
