New great leaders will soon appear in the pages of history written by the players of Civilization 6. Among the available rulers will be, among others, Ramesses II.

We are only days away from the debut of the new rulers of Sid Meier’s Civilization VI. As part of the Lords of the Sahara downloadable content, Ramesses II called the Great, Cleopatra the Great, and the ruler of the Mali Empire Sundiata Keita will appear in the game. All this as part of the fourth leader package, The rulers of the Saharawhich will expand the the chiefs pass February 16.

New leaders on the horizon

Ramses the Great, considered one of Egypt’s most powerful rulers, returns to the pharaoh’s throne. The character has appeared in almost every episode of the series so far except for the third, where Cleopatra ruled Egypt.

While we’re at it, let’s take a look at Egypt’s most famous ruler. Cleopatra already appears in-game as the initial ruler of her state, but Cleopatra from the Ptolemaic dynasty of Hellenistic-era Egypt is perhaps the queen who will set slightly different tones in-game.

The early Cleopatra emphasizes a strong military and trade, while the Ptolemaic Cleopatra may pursue policies more focused on city building and culture.

In addition to the Egyptian leaders, the new group of leaders also includes Soundiata Keita, the ruler of the African Mali Empire. However, to enjoy the game as the ruler of the Kingdom of Mali, you must have the Gathering Storm DLC.

As part of the Leader Pass, the 6th civilization has already received Julius Caesar, Abraham Lincoln, Suleiman the Magnificent, and Qin Shi Huang (as part of the January Rulers of China pack). The cost of this pass is around $10 and it is available on both Steam and the Epic Games Store. The contents of this, as well as all other passes, are free for owners of Civilization 6: Anthology, which includes all expansions for the game.

New leaders arrive at the sixth Civilization in a few days, February 16. We wish the best of luck to the fans of the Saharan sands.

He played in various bands during his high school and college years, but was unsuccessful with any of them, however, he partly earns his living through music; unfortunately he plays pot music at weddings. He studied journalism and took his first steps in radio, but he did not stay there long, preferring to look for something else. He held various jobs, often unrelated to his profession; for several years he was even a bartender. He arrived at GlobeLiveMedia in December 2020 and since then has been a loyal Newsroom Padawan, although he also worked with Friendly Fire, where he was in charge of their TikTok.
